Blind ATC challenge: 4 in 1

Rules: just follow the steps. Stay in your comfort zone and use materials you like to work with. Have fun… Here we go…

 

     ·         We start with a blanco card 9,83” x 3,5” (25,2cm x 9 cm)

·         Add paper (old paper, scrappaper…)

·         Add gesso with an old keycard

·         Cut 4 hearts out (bookpaper, scrappaper…)

·         Glue these hearts on your card (different options: half heart, upside down… When you cut your heart in 2, glue the 2 side on your paper on different places…)

·         Use a aquarelwasco or a black pen and sign around the surfaces from the hearts

·         Add gesso

·         Add some colors (gelatos, aquarel, acrylic paint…)

·         Stamp 4 words (repeat these words in various places)

·         Cut the card in 4 ATC cards

·         Add distressink at the edge of the cards

·         Add some details

·         Add washitape

·         Add white paint

·         Stamp on the right site of your card

·         Add white paint (option when your stamp is to dark)

·         Cut a rectangle (use scrappaper, old bookpaper…)

·         Glue it on the left bottom of your card

·         Cut a triangle (use scrappaper, old bookpaper…)

·         Glue it on the top of your rectangle

·         draw a little heart on old paper

·         Add washitape on the heart

·         Cut the heart out

·         Glue it in the middle of your rectangle

·         Use a black pen and sign around the surfaces

·         Add some colors (paint, aquarelle, gelato…)

·         Add distressink at the edge of the card

·         Add text

·         Distress the edge

·         Add some details

Altered magazine postcard exchange

This altered magazine postcard challenge was new for me. I did t, but i think it will be my first and my last card in this style. Its compleet out of my comfortzone... i try it and... its flying now to Texas

I used underpaper, some magazine pictures, posca and a black pen to create this card.

·         Glue pieces old book paper on it (gel medium)
·         Cut a rectangle (use scrappaper, old bookpaper…)
·         Glue it on the bottom of your card
·         Cut a triangle (use scrappaper, old bookpaper…)
·         Glue it on the top of your rectangle
·         Cut a little heart
·         Glue it in the middle of your rectangle
·         Use a black pen and sign around the surfaces
·         Add some colors (paint, aqarel, gelato…)
·         Add distressink at the edge of the card
·         Cut one word out
·         Distress the edge
·         Add your word in the middle of your triangle

Gel medium gebruiken om de hartjes vast te lijmen

3 kleuren dylusioninkt spuiten en met water uitwrijven

Weer een laagje gesso erover...

Hartjes met modeling pasta maken

Alles nog eens overtrekken met zwarte aquarelpotlood en een gewone potlood.

Randen distressen en... Klaar

ATC Birds

Voor de mega BIRD ATC swap op AEHML moeten er 10 ATC's gemaakt worden. Ik ben vertrokken van mijn favoriete achtergrond: underpaper (papier dat op mijn werkblad ligt en waaraan al mijn verf, inkt...wordt geveegd. met andere woorden datgene dat je normaal in de vuilbak werpt maar eigenlijk voor heel veel doeleinden kan gebruiken)

Allereerst maakte ik kopies van een scrapblad met vogels op. De vogels knipte ik allemaal uit.

Mijn underpaper lijmde ik op cardstock voor de stevigheid. Een foutje was gewone lijmstift te gebruiken waardoor ik nogal bubbels kreeg. Dus eigenlijk is gel medium veel beter.

 De vogels werden met gel medium vastgelijmd

 Hierover dan een laagje gesso, wat ik daarna weer met een babydoekje verwijderde. Je krijgt dan een leukere achtergrond.

 De randen van de vogels zijn met aquarel wasco geaccentueerd en met een nat penseel open gewreven.

Ik bracht wat dylusioninkt (london blue en fresh lime) aan en wreef dit met een super natte penseel open.

 Eerst stempelde ik wat extra vogels en tekst. Daarna bracht ik met een paletje en mask wat modeling pasta aan.

Wanneer alles goed droog wat gebruikte ik mijn zwarte aqarelpotlood om nog eens de vogels te omtrekken.

 Mijn pagina werd verknipt in 12 ATC kaartjes en daarna geinkt met distressink.

 Als laatste accent bracht ik nog wat letters aan... 

 De puzzel is weer gemaakt. Al de kaartjes liggen weer even op zijn plaats.
