Only 2 days and 2017 is starting. Time flies...
Here my page (without journaling)

LD17: journalpage

I prepare my journalpage for (yes yes) next year. I used some papertrash (gelli plate leftovers) for my text.
Next step...cutting out and glue it in my new journal

Gelli plate fun

Life Documented 2017: journalcover

2016 is almost gone...so time to prepare my journalcover for next year. DLP will not go on, but there is a new fb-group: life documented 2017. Jump over if you love journaling!

Here is de front of my new, thin journal
And here the backside...
How i made this? Simple...
The last 3 years i used the same kind of journal. (Lucky me, i have a few journals for the next years. They are 19cm x 25cm)
No stress...here we go:
First 2 layers gesso
Grab different types of letter leftovers.
More layers...
Again gesso, gesso and more gesso
Next layer: different colors acrylic paint (i used blue, green, purple and pink)

The next step is a big one...
Another layer: glaze and golden fluid raw umber.
Its brown now...so ugly. After a minute and half its babywhipes-time

This is the result. I love the dimension
And the last layer: gel medium (to protect the cover)
As you can see...i'm ready for a new year journaling

Make your own labels with trash

Everybody has it...stickertrash. You can make new labels, tags... with it. Its very simple. Just try it.
Start with the trash
Grab some underpaper, gelliplate painted paper, scrapbookpaper, old bookpaper...
Cut out every label, tag...
Tip: glue them on white paper and make some copy's

DLP week 51: PAC

DLP journalpage week 50

Only 1 journalpage to go before i can start my new journal. This one is an easy one made with scrappaper leftovers. Extra details are for next week...
On the left side i glued some backgrounds (x-mas cards) and some trees. Its not finished. Maybe a add a text, title...

X-mas cards step by step

My X-mas cards are ready...finaly ;) Almost 100 ready to sent or drop in my friends mailboxes
Here are the steps
1. Background. I embossed 100 cards
2. Painting. First layer with distress stain

Second layer with golden Raw Umber and babywhipes
3. X-mas trees. 100, why not...
I used old scrapbookpaper (leftovers)
I did some Glossyaccents on every paper piece (oh yes...crazy? Me??)
My trees are ready but oh so white...mmm not my style so...
...a layer Raw Umber on every tree... 1 done...99 to do
And dirty fingers.
4. Details:  little pearls

5. Stamping. I stamped Merry Christmas and a little border on paper leftovers.
6. I used tape (not glue) for the trees and stamped details...

DLP week 49: PAC

Start with a photo transfert...
I recieved a happy mail this morning and the envelop was just perfect for my background. The transfert is not perfect done (the little spots on the bear are paperleftovers, but it was so fragile...)
As you see...the envelop is to beautiful for not using!

I used this copy...
And here he is. Tranfert on my card. I used watercolors for the details/accents
My first try with a black/white copy. Not perfect but i add some washi tape details and distressink.
